Super Smash Bros. Revolution (also known as SSBR and SSB5) is the fifth Super Smash Bros. game which was made by DerpyDoodle Enterprises and published on January 27, 2020. It is available for the Revolution and Nintendo 4DS consoles.
New Features[]
- 100 confirmed characters! The biggest roster in all Smash history!
- 87 are available at the game's launch, and an additional 13 will become downloadable.
- Of these, 35 of them are newcomers.
- SSBR also contains the most third party characters of any Smash game, with a grand total of 11.
- Characters now have 4 Custom Moves.
- Characters now have 4 Taunts. They have a Right and Left Taunt instead of a single Side Taunt.
- A story mode returns, known as The Great Commission.

8 Player Smash[]
Number of players: 5-8
As in Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U, up to 8 players can duke it out in this special mode.
Classic Mode[]
Number of Players: 1-2
Classic Mode returns, this time more similar to the version in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. However, no gold is spent, and players simply choose their paths based on difficulty. Also, hidden paths can be unlocked by completing certain requirements in a level.
All-Star Mode[]
Number of Players: 1-2
As in previous installments, you must fight all the characters with 1 stock in chronological order. Similar to Super Smash Bros. 4, you battle all of the characters that were created in a certain year at once. After each battle, you will be transported to the next match by a Final Destination-like stage, which has 5 heart containers. You must unlock all the characters to play this. In Super Smash Bros. Revolution, however, you have a choice on whether to go from earliest to latest or latest to earliest.

Adventure Mode: The Great Commission[]

Players: 1-4
The Great Commission is Super Smash Bros. Revolution's main single player mode. It is very similar in scope to The Subspace Emissary, but has a different story and has a different canon. This time, up to four players can play in this mode, and even if there are less than four characters available they can play as palette swaps of the characters.
