Akira is a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. World Warriors representing the Virtua Fighter franchise. Of the trio of primary fighting game main characters, which includes himself, Ryu, and Jin Kazama, he is the strongest and heaviest. While he may be powerful, he is not nearly as quick as the others, and requires more work to truly master.

Changes Between Version 1.0 And 2.0[]

Unlike most new characters, Akira actually changed very little between versions.

Akira no longer raises his leg for his Up Tilt, and his Forward Tilt now has unique properties rather than working just like his Forward Smash. He has a new Down Smash that serves as a more unique alternative to his original Down Smash, and his new Fair comes out faster and has more practical uses.
